"Black Cat, White Shani" Film Wins Award
Azerbaijani cinema has achieved another international success. The documentary *Black Cat, White Grape* won the "Best Director" award at the UMUT International Documentary Film Festival. Produced by "Chinar Film" and featuring post-production support from the Cinema Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ARKA), the film was directed by Alamdar Faiq, with Turkan Huseyn and Emil Najafov serving as producers.
The film explores profound psychological and social themes, such as the family's influence on the individual, the impact of parents' destinies on their children, and the individual's journey of self-discovery. Notably, *Black Cat, White Grape* held its world premiere at the Herceg Novi International Film Festival in Montenegro, an event considered one of the most prestigious and long-standing film festivals in the Balkan region.
