Khazar TV began its activities on October 5, 2007 with the slogan "Your Family's Khazar". It began its broadcasting life with the program "News".
In August 2010, the construction of the current building began. The first studio program was broadcast under the name "On the Shore of the Caspian Sea". In 2010–2011, it introduced the sitcom genre to the audience for the first time in Azerbaijan, presenting the series "Aramizda Qalsyn" and "Kayinana".
In 2016, it moved to the administrative building, which is the largest TV channel building in terms of area in Transcaucasia.
On September 18, 2017, "Khazar TV" switched to HD broadcasting format in Baku.
From March 5, 2020, the shares of “Khazar TV” LLC were transferred to the balance of “SOCAR Media” group.
On January 28, 2022, it switched to HD broadcasting format on the “Azerspace-1” satellite.
The first channel in Azerbaijan Media to reach 1 million subscribers was the “Khazar Media” channel of Khazar TV.
