In 1988, 3 new organizations were created on the basis of the chronicle-documentary, scientific-mass and educational film association of the “Azerbaijanfilm” film studio - Salname, Yaddash and Rakurs documentary film studios. Salname and Yaddash have been operating as independent documentary film studios since 1991. After 1993, they were renamed independent documentary film studios with state status.
